Mariah Carey posted an ad to overshadow the NFL finale in her social media post.
The famous entertainer tweeted shortly after posting the Super Bowl ad “Inspire Change” for the NFL’s social justice initiative. As part of the initiative, the NFL has committed to donating $ 250 million over a 10-year period to combat systematic racism and social injustice.
Shortly after the ad went live on TV, Mariah tweeted “Happy Colin Kaepernick Appreciation Day!” Colin Kaepernick, former NFL quarterback, performed a kneeling action during the National Anthem to protest police brutality and systemic racism. The player has not been in the league since parting ways with the San Francisco 49ers in 2016.
